应广大作者的要求，Geoshanghai2014组委会决定将摘要的截止日期延长至2013年6月30日。目前，大会已经收到来自36个国家和地区的400篇摘要。

调整后的大会时间节点如下：

§摘要截止日期：2013年6月30日

§摘要接受日期：2013年7月15日

§全文投稿日期：2013年8月31日

§全文接受日期：2013年11月30日

§全文终版日期：2014年1月5日

Dear Colleagues,

Based upon the requests from many of you, the GeoShanghai 2014 organizing committee decided to extend the due date for abstract submission to June 30, 2013. Note that the conference has received about 400 abstracts from 36 countries and districts.

The new Important Dates are:

§Abstract due: June 30, 2013

§  Acceptance of abstract: July 15, 2013

§Full paper due: August31, 2013

§  Acceptance of full paper: November 30, 2013

§  Final full paper due: January 5, 2014

All accepted papers will be published on ASCE Geotechnical Special Publications (EI indexed). What’s more, selected high-quality papers from this conference will be published in special issues of (1) Geotextiles and Geomembranes (SCI indexed), (2) Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (SCI indexed), or (3)ASCE Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering (SCI indexed), after being expanded to full journal papers with enough detail, subjected to a full peer-review process set forth by the journal.

GeoShanghai has been successfully held in Shanghai since 2006 and it is held only in Shanghai every four years. Geoshanghai2014 is hosted by the cooperation of Tongji University, Chinese Institution of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering and Shanghai Society of Civil Engineering. The cooperating organizations include13 universities from USA, UK, Germany, France and Japan and 5 institutes from USA and China. Geoshanghai2014 has no commercial purposes, but only provide a forum for the discussion, assessment and review of latest advancements in research, new developments and application of technologies in geotechnical engineering. Note that any other Geo conferences held or to be held in China including GeoHubei have nothing to do with the GeoShanghai international conference series.
