上海岩土工程勘察设计研究院有限公司（简称上勘院），创建于1958年，原名上海勘察院，2003年底实现整体改制后更名。上勘院是一家国内知名的综合性岩土工程咨询公司，拥有雄厚的技术力量、一流的专家队伍、精良的仪器设备和丰富的工程经验。通过联系紧密的知识网络为客户提供高质量的专业技术服务，已成为行业的领导者之一。

公司现有职工500多名，专业技术人员400多名，其中：国家勘察大师4名，教授级高工15名，高级工程师75名，工程师近百名，各类注册工程师60多名。

公司设有设计咨询公司、岩土技术公司、量测技术公司、研究中心、信息中心等生产、研究部门，在外地设有浙江、苏州、重庆、天津等分公司，并投资设立了上海城凯建筑设计有限公司、上海三凯建设监理有限公司、上海长凯岩土工程有限公司以及上海舰凯钻探有限公司。

公司提供的服务内容包括岩土工程设计、咨询、工程勘察、工程测量、工程监测、工程检测、工程物探、建筑设计、工程监理、地震安全性评价、地质灾害评估以及房屋质量检测等，并覆盖建设工程管理咨询、工程项目管理和运行管理等领域。

经过50年的辛勤磨砺，公司共计完成各类工程勘察、设计项目13000余项，其中130多项工程获得国家、建设部以及上海市嘉奖，其中获国家级奖（金、银、铜）17项；负责主编、参编了30余部技术规范、规程。先后荣获“上海市文明单位”、“上海市质量标兵企业”、“建设部全国工程勘察先进单位”，“全国勘察设计综合实力百强单位”等荣誉。

为适应创建和谐社会的国家战略目标，公司提出了以“规避风险、节约资源、共创和谐”为核心的“绿色岩土”创意理念，致力于岩土技术领域的创新与发展，为上海及全国的城市建设做出了积极的贡献。

Shanghai Geotechnical Investigations and Design Institute Co., Ltd(SGIDI) has been established since 1958. Shanghai Geotechnical Institute was the previous name of SGIDI before the reform in 2003.  SGIDI is a well known geotechnical consulting company in China. We have well trained and experienced staffs and famous experts, advanced equipment and facilities and vast engineering experience.  SGIDI provides high-quality service via comprehensive expertise network, and plays a leading role in geotechnical investigations and foundation design.

Currently, we have more than 500 employees, including 400 professional staffs, 4 national masters in geotechnical investigation and survey, 15 professor engineers, 75 senior engineers, nearly 100 engineers and more than 60 registered geotechnical engineers.

SGIDI consists of 5 departments, which are Design & Consulting department, Geotechnical department, Survey and Detection department, ResearchCenter, and InformationCenter.  In addition, SGIDI also has some subsidiary companies located in Hangzhou, Suzhou, Chongqing and Tianjin. Meanwhile, SGIDI has invested four enterprises including: Shanghai Chengkai Architecture Design Co.,Ltd, Shanghai Sankai Construction Supervision Co.,Ltd, Shanghai Changkai Geotechnical Engineering Co.,Ltd and Shanghai Jiankai Drilling Co.,Ltd.

We provide our service including geotechnical engineering design and consultation, investigation, surveying, monitoring, testing, geophysics exploration, architecture design, construction supervision, seismic security evaluation, environment engineer evaluation, and housing quality inspection, all of which covers the area of construction management and consultation, project management and operation management.

In the past 50 years, SGIDI has completed more than 13,000 projects successfully. Over 130 projects have been awarded by the government for excellent design and technological development including 17 National awards (Gold, Silver and Bronze). We are one of the authors of more than 30 national geotechnical codes and technical standards. SGIDI has been honored as “Model unit of ShanghaiMunicipality”, “Quality Model Enterprise of Shanghai”, “Advanced Unit in Nationwide Engineering Investigation Field” and “One of 100 Top units on comprehensive strength in nationwide investigation and design”.

Following the China’s development strategy, SGIDI proposes the concept of “Green Geotechnology” with the core idea of “Risk mitigation, Resources saving, and Development in harmony”. SGIDI will dedicate in the innovation associated with geotechnical technology and contribute all its efforts to the development of Shanghai as well as other cities in China.
